A couple of months ago, I had the pleasure of speaking to students at Strake Jesuit in Houston, my alma mater.  I was invited to share with the students and potential writers how it was that I got to be where I am as a writer, consultant…person.  A lot of who I am today was influenced in the high school era.  My main advice, “Don’t ever forget the lessons you are learning here.”    The same holds true for everyone in every phase of life.
